Hello ISM-Team, could you please add the possibility to stop the daily auto discovery (get node information) of the nodes in ISM. Even if the iRMC is dropped out, the ISM tried to connect to the node and receives errors every day. It is a possibility to get only SNMP-Traps from a server. For example, for server in a DMZ that can only send and nothing receive.
As we have not received further feedback / information, we assume the proposed workaround is a suitable / acceptable solution. So we wil change the status of this request to "Already exist". Reason: the proposed solution can fix the problem.
Thank you for the picture and explanation. A workaround for this issue can be to turn on "Maintenance Mode". You can set this mode for each managed node. Then, ISM does not access the node. This mode can be set even if a node is registered as a specific model or "other device", and it's still possible to receive and show SNMP trap. Please let me know if this works for you.
Hello, thank your for your answer. Even if i add the server as "other device" the ISM tries to connect. See Picture
Thank you very much for your idea. So, the main target is to get only the SNMP-Trap from a server? This is possible: The server can be added as "other device". Then, ISM does not contact the device on the iRMC interface regularly. However, functions like Firmware update no longer can be used, then. Is this a suitable solution?
