Dear Sir or Madam,
it would be very helpful if that tool would automatically select only those updates referring to the registered server nodes instead of offering all available updates. It's a lot of work to unselect unrequired updates or a waste of disk space if not changing the preselection.
Another important feature would be if ISM was taking care of dependencies, like Update Manager Express and eLCM already do. With a lot of nodes a manual resolve of dependecies takes a lot of time.

ISM v3.0.0.010 was released on November 28, 2024, and now offers new firmware handling with the ability to provide an overview of already imported firmware updates, online or offline as manual download view but also for registered nodes.
This Idea are also requesting a verification of dependencies as performed by eLCM or Update Manager Express. We need to split this idea and transfered the Update Manager / eLCM Function request to AHA-I-334
In respect of the inital request we are going to change the status to shipped.
Update: further shift in the schedule. New target release is ISM V3.0.0.010, expected in December 2024
Update: This idea was shiftet to ISM V2.10.0.000 which is expected for end of August 2024. Reason is handling of other high priority topics.
This idea is now scheduled for ISM version 2.9.0.030 which is expected for end of June 2024.
Thank you for your very valid idea. We have received very similar ideas from internal colleagues as well as from other customers. We are working on a solution to improve the situation and make download and update process more efficient. So we will change the status to “Future consideration”.
