Hello ISM-Devs,
the Network Map function of ISM is an important feature for us, unfortunately we have mainly Extreme Summit Switches in use (e.g. X440/450/460). It would be nice to have them fully supported by ISM, like others already suggested.
Since full support can always be a problem, could you implement the possibility to manually add a switch, or other devices, to the Network Map? For example if you have registrated a switch with just PING, you can add it to the map and just configure how many ports it has and draw the connections by hand.
With such a feature the Network Map would be an even better tool in ISM for us.
Best regards
Nitschke
Implemented with ISM V2.7.0.030 in April 2022 for Extreme X440 and X460. Right now there is no plan for X450.
This one was implemented and delivered with ISM V2.7.0.030 in April 2022 for Extreme X440 and X460. Right now there is no plan for X450 - sorry for that.
The availablity of this idea has now a target schedule for ISM V 2.7.0.030. This tentatively is in March 2022 timeframe.
Dear Mr. Nitschke,
We understand the importance of offering full support for Extreme Summit Switches. Unfortunately, there is no concrete release date planned, but we consider your requirement with priority. As soon as there is an update about the timeline, we will let you know.
