We wanted to install a Fujitsu Primergy out of the Box with the newest available Image of Fujitsu Customized ESXi Image from March 2021.
We defindes a BIOS, iRMC and OS Policy. BIOS and iRMC Polcies were successfully applied. But the OS Installation failed. With the support, we found out, that the installed eIM was too old. The manual states, that the image must already be present and up to date. With that requirement a "Out-of-the-Box" Installation with the ISM is in many cases not possible because I assume that when a new Image of ESXi is released over Fujitsu, all Servers in the storage space will not be updated with a new eIM.
Request: Update of eIM over ISM should be done when a OS Installation Policy is applied. Mandatory for that would be Internet Connection of iRMC or ISM Repository Server, which is applied through iRMC Policy.

This idea is now shipped and available as scheduled with ISM version 2.9.0.010.
